IMPROVEMENT OF THE PRODUCTION OF DRUGS FROM COPAIBO OIL

On September 14 and 15 in Santa Cruz, the Meeting of Traditional Medicine of the Chaco and Chiquitanía was held, with the participation of 29 participants representing the following Guarani communities of the Chaco
– In representation of the Guaraní Captaincy of Takovo Mora which is located In the municipality of Cabezas, Yateirenda and Cotoca were present.
– were present from the Guaraní Captaincy of Kaaguasu, members of the New Tatarenda community
– Representatives of the Itanambbikua community that belongs to the Kami Captaincy, which is located in Camiri,

– Were also present, as well as community members of the Greater Kaipependi Karovaicho (GKK).

– Likewise, members of the ARAKUAIYAPO educational institution and the School of Health were present.

 

 

On October 15 and 16 in Santa Cruz the National Meeting of Traditional Medicine was held, in the event 51 participants were present representing communities of: Oruro, La Paz, del Chaco and Chiquitanía, the meeting generated an important space where discussed the importance of biodiversity for traditional medicine, since the different medicinal plants used in the communities as part of traditional medicine are found in the forests. Despite the enormous importance of biodiversity for medicine in communities, extractive activities are destroying forests and reducing the ability to cope with disease communities through their own health means..
